Last night Caitlin and I attended the 14th annual Harris Center Public Forum featuring Diane von Furstenberg at Harvard Business School. Though the Harris Center is focused on eating disorders, the forum was aimed the empowerment of women. Diane spoke about her life and the obstacles she has overcome to achieve her many successes. While she spoke, she shared photos spanning the course of her life including her wedding day in Paris and her first signature wrap dresses. It was really interesting to hear about her first encounter with Diana Vreeland, the former editor of Vogue. She sounded like an intimidating woman but she liked DvF’s work and helped launch her career. We weren’t supposed to take photos, so please excuse the poor cell-phone quality!
